Water Companies are continually paying consultants to reinvent the wheel. This stifles innovation as time and money is spent on doing the same things time and time again.

Meanwhile Internal Process Engineering support is scarce in many Water Companies and external Process Engineering support is costly.  At times of peak activity, e.g. delivery of schemes or Periodic Review, in-house costing resources are over-stretched leading to an influx of Consultants.

Aqua has found Water Companies want an efficient in-house tool that can give them the answers and outputs they require which can be re-used again and again without the need for external Consultant support.

Aqua has designed and developed detailed, intelligent and interactive modelling systems that enable Water Companies to manage parts of, or the end-to-end costing process.

This includes simple Capex/Opex cost models to more complex and dynamic models that introduce a powerful suite of tools that bring ‘on-demand’ Process Engineering and Cost Management support in-house.  They are also bespoke to the specific processes adopted by the Water Company.

In 2008, Aqua was selected as a finalist in the NCE Civils Product Innovation Awards for the development of a Whole Life Cost & Carbon calculation system.  This model enabled detailed foresight of the integrated embodied and whole of life carbon associated with the cost planning process.
