We’re Hiring a MEICA Engineer

Are you a MEICA Engineer with utility experience, preferably in the water sector looking for the next opportunity?

This role reports directly into the Project Manager and responsibilities will include:

  • Predominately Electrical works  – HV DNO connection, Site LV works, Earthling and lightning protection, site lighting, building services.
  • Mechanical works outstanding is the procurement of supply, install small scale pumps for drainage, mixers for lagoons and carbon filter odour control system
  • Conduct / organise design, supply and install of MEICA works
  • Promote strong Health and Safety behaviours and lead by example including recognising that Health and Safety considerations are central to all tasks to ensure a safe working environment
  • Attend design and HAZOP review meetings both internal and external
  • Regular attendance on site to oversee works and site meetings
  • Completion of projects to time, quality and within budget
  • Procure MEICA plant, equipment and specialist contractors
  • Conduct coordination of suppliers, contractors, site installation and construction teams
  • Undertake and attend any FATs, SATs , technology provider commissioning and training
  • Collect data for close out –  ‘As built’ drawings, O&Ms, Commissioning logs, snagging lists, defaults register
  • Coordinate and oversee any testing/ commissioning and ensuring data is received in a timely manner
  • Liaise with and oversee Electrical DNO installations and connections ensuring works are conducted in a timely manner
  • Design and identify small scale mechanical engineering works
  • Provide support and oversee the commissioning of items of plant installed by the technology provider
  • Oversee the FiTs application
  • Provide the appropriate level of quality
  • Participate in continuous improvement of the business processes
  • Recognise the importance of satisfying the customer
  • Work to corporate and site policy and procedures including and within the organisations QMS
  • Report safety issues responsibly, and participate in improving practice

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of working within the Utility sector (waste and clean water preferred)
  • MEICA commissioning (desirable)
  • Experience with the design and installation of Instrumentation, control and automation
  • Working within a contracting/ consultancy environment.
